THE SHIELD #6 PASS OVER this Jordan
Sh'mot (Exodus) 14:13 CJB
Moshe answered the people, “Stop being so fearful! Remain steady, and you will see how Adonai is going to save you. He will do it today — today you have seen the Egyptians, but you will never see them again!
There is a Jordan River in your life… a place you have to cross. What is on the other side is worth crossing for - a place of Destiny.
Joshua passed through it with the ark of the covenant to possess the promised land.
Elisha passed through it by smoting the waters with the mantle of Elijah.
Jesus passed through it's waters of baptism into His ministry.
It is a place in your life where lots have been said and done, but now look up to what's on the other side. You have learned your lessons here and you have seen that Adonai is faithful.
Isaiah 26:19-21 NIV
[19] But your dead will live, Lord; their bodies will rise— let those who dwell in the dust wake up and shout for joy— your dew is like the dew of the morning; the earth will give birth to her dead. [20] Go, my people, enter your rooms and shut the doors behind you; hide yourselves for a little while until his wrath has passed by. [21] See, the Lord is coming out of his dwelling to punish the people of the earth for their sins. The earth will disclose the blood shed on it; the earth will conceal its slain no longer.
During this Passover season, remember that another ‘passing over’ is coming. It speaks of the return of the Lord for judgement, but His people are to be hidden in His secret place.
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 AMPC
[16] For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a loud cry of summons, with the shout of an archangel, and with the blast of the trumpet of God. And those who have departed this life in Christ will rise first. [17] Then we, the living ones who remain [on the earth], shall simultaneously be caught up along with [the resurrected dead] in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and so always (through the eternity of the eternities) we shall be with the Lord!
